Puck "One in a Million"
by Camille Jordan |
| Introduction |
|
This recollection is about a special bird who achieved recognition for his talent by being accepted into The Guinness Book of World Records. Puck was the bird’s name, and his record is that of “the bird with the largest vocabulary in the world.” How many words did Puck speak? He was documented with a vocabulary of 1,728 words as of January 1994! Although he was a common bird species (popularly known as a parakeet in America, but more accurately, a budgerigar) found in millions of homes, his abilities were obviously uncommon. This is the story of my friend, an incredible creature brimming with intelligence and personality. |
